CCOM Clinic Policies and Patient Guidelines
Payment Options
The CCOM Clinic accepts several forms of electronic payment, including major credit cards and mobile wallets such as Apple Pay. To support smooth check-in and check-out, our clinic primarily operates as a cashless environment.
We do not accept personal checks and are unable to bill insurance providers. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.
Late Arrivals & Cancellations
We understand that schedules can change. To ensure access for all patients, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Patients arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled based on clinic flow and supervisor availability.
Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in being limited to same-day scheduling.
Discount Eligibility
To support accessibility and community wellness, the CCOM Clinic offers reduced rates to:
- Adults aged 60 and above
- Veterans and active-duty military personnel
- College students with a valid student ID
These discounts apply to both intern-provided and faculty-supervised acupuncture or herbal consultations.
If you qualify, please let our reception team know before your appointment so the appropriate rate can be applied.
Food & Beverages
To maintain a clean, calm, and comfortable clinic environment, we ask visitors to refrain from eating or drinking in treatment spaces or the waiting area.
Children in the Clinic
Children under 18 must remain under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times while in the clinic.
At this time, the CCOM Clinic does not provide treatment for children younger than 13. Families seeking pediatric care are welcome to request referrals.
Pets & Service Animals
For health and safety reasons, only trained service animals as defined by the ADA are permitted inside the clinic.
Emotional support animals, therapy animals, and pets are not permitted.
Herbal Pharmacy Policies
Our on-site teaching dispensary provides high-quality herbal formulas in raw, granule, and pill forms.
Due to safety and handling standards for ingestible products, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on any herbal products – whether opened or sealed. Once dispensed, patients are responsible for the full cost of their herbal prescription.
Thank You for Supporting a Teaching Clinic
The CCOM Clinic operates as both a community clinic and an educational environment for developing practitioners. Your cooperation with our policies helps us maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive space for patients, students, and supervisors alike.
We appreciate your partnership in this mission.
